Inquisitor Prox sat in his spartan chamber aboard the Novae Castillus, the largest ship in the Polaris Crusade of the Black Templars chapter.
The Barge-Fortress was still in orbit around Terra, Marshal Sinclair and Grand Marshal Naemi was in their private dining room. Prox had been invited to join them, but he had rejected the offer.
Since te loss of his master, he had been sitting there, as in trance, polishing his master's sword... the only thing that Prox had left.
A black clad marine opened the door to Prox's chamber and bowed.
"My Inquisitor, you have a visitor."
Prox nodded and put the heavy sword down on a marble tile.
"Inquisitor Prox?" A female voice sung trough the chamber.
"Yes...?" Prox said and turned around, slowly.
"I am Bianca Linx, Acolyte of late Inquisitor Hannman..." She said with a smooth voice.
"Hannman? Viktor Hannman...? A message regarding the tragedy was broadcasted on the Conclave not so long ago." Prox said and tried to look alert, even though he was tired.
"Yes," She said and turned her beautiful face away.
", Viktor Hannman was my master... and I still mourn his death..." she continued.
Prox nodded.
"... I hope that you are aware of what killed him." she said, and Prox was suprised how her beautiful features could be destroyed so easily. Her voice was cold as ice, her red eyes burned with hatred as she spoke.
"He was killed as we stormed The Avenger of Tacard."
Prox's eyes widened, why had not Blizzard told him of this?
"Wha... wha... what...?!" He spluttered.
"But that was not why I came here, for my anger against your master is nothing that I will bring upon you..." She started to walk around the room.
"Then, do you know that my master is assumed to be dead?" Prox said and gazed into her eyes as she waited with the answer.
"Yes, words about that reached me a few weeks ago." She started to walk again.
"There is a Void on Gaspadevj. I heard about an Inquisitorial team that where sent to catch him, but no one has heard of them since the Gaspadevjan civil war began." She said, clearly marking that she saw the previous topic as closed.
"So, why did you come here?" Prox asked.
"I need someone to help me to get this Pariah... "
"... And you choose me? Why?" Prox interupted her.
"For I have heard of your feats, and that your master's ideals run strong in you... I had nothing against Blizzard as a person, only that Hannman was like a father to me..."
Prox nodded.
"Give me some time to think about this. I will inform you when I have made my decision." He said.
She nodded.
"We will meet again, Inquisitor Prox." She said and left.
