Nade heard some thing and pressed hi self flat against the wall to listen, he heard heavy foor steps ythen speaking, not normal speaking but military speaking using code names and such. Nade risked a glance around the corner, he saw a 10 man team of enforcers running down the street towards him. He had little time, but something made him stop, a flash as light from one of the street lights reflected of metal, it caught Nades eye and he looked closer. He saw a hand holding a bolt pistol, the rest of the figure was in the shadow and Nade could only make out that he was wearing a hood. The arbites were not aware of the man, but they were aware of Nade. Nade threw a frag grenade into the street, the explosion caused the team to take cover, none of them were injured but the distraction brought Nade a bit of time. he ran off down the ally, at the end was a dumpster and a brick wall. Nade pushed him self harder and he ran faster, he jumped onto the high dumpster nearly efortlessly, he kicked a hole in it and dropped a frag grenade into the dumpster then he vaulted the wall. The hodded man easily over took the arbites team and ran down the ally, he saw Nade jump over the wall and ran after him. The dumppster exploded and bits of it were strewn acroos the ally, no there was only a brick wall at the end of the ally, it was to high to jump and would take some time to climb. The arbites squad cheked for casualties, there was one. One of the men was wounded by shrapnel that had stabed into his neck, between his breast plate and his helmet. The man was more unluky than anything. Beziel stood in the ally, he looked for another way over the wall, he could not let his prey get too far ahead or he would loose him, "This one is cunning" he thought to himself........

"Omega to main" "we read you omega" "We have a possible inquisitor here, possibly the one that escaped the hotel" "Take him into custody, we will question him back at base" "Roger that HQ"

"Don't do anything stupid" the captain shouted "these are not normal shotguns, Plasma rifles, high powered lasers. doesn't matter what fancy armor your wearing, it wont help you"
the inquisitor seemed un moved by the threat
the captain gritted his teeth and leaned back to the man with a small rocket launcher and whispered "get a lock on him, if he starts to run or anything, fire, make sure it's locked before are men get to him"

the man interupted "Radical inquisitor, not an inquisitor"
psylo shrugged not seeing the difference "what ever, untill they let us out we are in a dead lock, now if you don't mind, either lend a hand where you can or buzz off"

No use causing a scene now, the man he had been following is indeed a cunning one, yes, incredibly cunning to use this pursuit as a counter attack on Beziel. Damnit, and he had fallen right into his trap.
His back still turned to the 8 arbites, he searched for options. The alley was dark, but the flashlights attached to the shotguns were removing any sense of optical cover. The only way out was by getting over the brick wall. Too high. Blast the wall? Not enough time to set a demolition charge. Turn around and shoot? Perhaps, he might get one or two, but the third one would most likely take him out, and these were not the usual Arbites... they where members of the specialised assault division, so who knows what they could do. The threats of non-standard issue rifles were probably a bluff, he doubted that arbites on a garden planet would be this well equipped, nevertheless, he had to meet defeat. There was nothing he could do now.
The last thing he wanted was his cover blown, and be hunted, when it was HE the hunter and NOT the hunted. the target was probably gone now. Damnit.
"Alright, dont fire"
slowly he put back his customized-boltpistol back into his thigh holsters and raised his arms in the air.

The perfectly cut stone outer-walls were dwarfed the surrounfing structures, standing over 10- floors high. He walked through a magnificent archway inside to find hundreds of adepts at work. Most appeared to be Imperial, but many looked like the personal secretaries of the planet's nobles who had goverment connections. The white marble stone floor was so well polished it acted as a mirror, and beautiful statues of Imperial heroes stood in small archs. Just glancing he saw Solar Macharius and a very dtailed Sebastian Thor. He walked up to the nearest Adept. "I am Commisar Felix Lothar, here with authority from Inquisitor Allikas Mathra of the Ordo Xenos. I would like to requisition the service of a savant for the next several hours." "One moment, Commisar." The savant walked over to a small library, and carefully picked out data- pad. After carefully reviewing a passage in it, he walked back. "It is confirmed that you are in the service of Inquisitor Allikas Mathra. Tell me though, where is he?" The Commisar cast the man a dirty glance. "That information is classified." "One moment, sir." The adept went off to fetch them their savant. The Commisar knew they were looking at answers."

Reply author: BrotherXanthron Replied on: 22/12/2003 04:45:26 Message: "Bloody hell"
Melphane hid behind the desk. He had seen Mistress Xantcha get taken down. Her assassin reflexes didn't do any good against that many bullets. She couldn't be dead, but he couldn't get to her. He concentrated on his clairvoyance. He could see to arbitrators moving towards his cover. He put his gun to the table and fired.
The arbite on the left dropped in a bloody spray, but he missed the other one completely. Damn, one against many. Melphane scans the room for a exit. There! A weak point in the wall caused by a grenade.
Melphane rose from behind the table, his bolt pistol jumping in his hand. He spun quickly and rand for the wall. A bullet hit him in the back. His armor held the bullet back but he hit the wall in a clumsy charge. The wall didn't break.
"Dammit."
Melphane turned, his face becoming red with anger. He dropped his now empty bolt pistol hefted his daemonhammer in both hand and charged the arbites, roaring a warcry. No other option, he thought, front door in the only way.
He hit the first arbite with his two-handed downswing, the man crumpling under the blow. Using the momentum he lowered his shoulder and slammed the arbites partner into the wall. A crunch and a scream told Melphane the man wouldn't be fighting again. A bullet ringed off his shoulder plate, singing itself into the wall.
Melphane grabbed the shooter by the throat and picked him off the ground, his armor servos whining. He turned as the man's squad opened fire. The arbites shielded most of the his armor absorbing the rest. Melphane let out an almost inhuman snarl, and threw the dead arbite up. Spinning he double-handed the arbite like a baseball, the body spinning into his comrades.
Using the slight confusion, Melphane scooped up Xantcha and ran for the door. He slid on the street pavement trying to stop as and arbitrator squad opened fire. Two hit him in the gut and his armour crumpled under the bullets, not giving in but weakening his chest plate. AP rounds, eh? He grabbed Xantcha by the waist and winked at her. She gritted her teath and got ready.
Melphane hurled her as hard as he could. She drew her weapons in the air and hit the squad, power blades leading. Four down three to go. Melphane charged in right behind her, the head on his hammer sending sparks as it scraped on the pavement.
Melphane golf swung the first arbite, groining him. The man flew several yards back, unconcious. Heh, probably for the better, he'll not have kids anymore, Melphane mused. An arbite pulled a chainsword and moved in. Melphane thingyed his head, idiot, this is where I excell, melee combat.
A bullet struck his thigh, then his waist, his chest, his shoulder. Melphane ducked. The sword weilding arbitrator was only a distraction for the first. He jumped back narrowly dodging the swing of a chainsword.
"Catch."
Xantcha threw a sword at the sword swining arbites back. Melphane gritted his teeth, spun around the arbtitrator and swung horizontaly with all he had. His hammer hit the butt end of Xantcha's power blade, driving it right through the man like a nail. It burst out of the mans chest and continued. The second arbite dropped, the power blade lodged in his throat.
Melphane scanned around, all other sqauds were still in the building. He scooped up Xantcha, and her blade and dashes into the nearby ally to catch his breath. Stopping he feels a little light headed. His clairvoyance blurs and then darkness. Xanthca grunts as she hits the gound and rolls. Looking over she sees Melphane, sitting, his back to the wall, a blood streak contrasting with the whit paint. She crawls over and tries to wake him, unsuccessfully.
Now all she can do is wait.

psylo grinned, atleast it wasn't all for nothing, "Bring him to me, i want to have a chat" psylo switched off his comm and turned to a fellow arbite "what was this man responsible for before escaping"
"opened fire on team three, wounding geoff sir. the rest where fine, he is in possesion of several contraband energy weapons Rail gun or such if the reports are accurate, he also evaded arrest obviously"
"Thank you..." psylo paused glancing at the mans bloody insignia "Seargeant"
"only doin my job sir"
Psylo saluted the man then turned to the Inquisitor who had seemingly allied himself with psylo "would you like to tag along for the interogation Inquisitor?"
the inquisitor did not speak, just mearly nodded his head and followed after psylo.
the sound of the clean up team could be heard out side as they supressed the crowds that came near and cleaned up the rubble. Psylo walked on through a corridor now exposed to the outside due to an explosion of some kind, psylo climbed up the fire scared stairs to his room, there the fugitive and omega team awaited.
Psylo entered the room, 5 guns where aimed at the inquisitor who now sat on a chair, all his equipment and any excess clothing such as his cloak where spread out on the table.
Psylo's ran his fingers over the items, everything any one could ever wish for and more, psylo grinned 'the joys of being his Emperors holy Inquisition' he thought to himself.
"So inquisitor, evading arrest, opening fire on an arbite team with out being provoked, seriosly injuring one of the men, And carrying contraband weapons..." psylo scanned the room puzzled, leaning over the the captain he whispered "Wheres the other weaponry" "i'm sorry sir?" "was there anything else on him?" "no sir, this was all he had" psylo gritted his teeth "Now i can understand what you would be doing with contraband weaponry, but from what i understood you have high powered energy weapons, from what i see here, nothing but his Emperors rightous bolt pistol, so where is it Inquisitor, where is the weaponry" Psylo paused realizing he was going after the smaller of the two fish "Never mind that, What are you and the several others doing on this planet, i have dealt with inquisitors before. Psylo paused awaiting his answer, shifting some what so the rising sun was no longer blinding his vision

Reply author: ninjin Replied on: 22/12/2003 14:41:51 Message: The room fell silent, the only thing audible were the heavy breathing of the Arbites... their fingers trembling, perhaps from fear that they had an "inquisitor" at gun point. The air feeling heavy, and the Aribtes chief, Psylo awaited his answers.
"well?"
"Contraband weaponry you say... high powered energy weapons? i am afraid although these arbites are well worth their ranks and power they have mistaken their captive with another fugitive. I carry no Xenos weapon, and should i see one, they would be destroyed on sight..."
he spoke slowly, without any emotions going through, it seemed as if he had through many interogations, and this, Beziel thought would be a pointless and long interogation. He could feel another presence within the room, perhaps more aggressive than the Arbites, but he could feel him never the less, another inquisitor... This would surely take a wrong turn if the other inquisitor decided to pipe in the interogation.
"I wont ask again, Inquisitor, what are you and the several others doing on this planet?"
He felt wont to reply, as clearly his activity as a supervisor would be shun down by the other inquisitor, and perhaps killed, if he learnt that it was his job to survey, spy, and observe the other inquisitors so that they didnt stray from His divine and holy path.
"I will tell thee this, your trusty Arbites have taken the wrong prisoner, i am not the man with Xenos weaponry of which you speak of"
Taking his time and cracking his neck, each with a disturbing crack of the joints, he resumes,
"tch, I might as well tell you this while im at it, my Code-Name is Omega-One, D928-1... I will not tell about myself nor my purpose than what i have said it right now. But, what i CAN tell you about these wondering bands of "inquisitors" is that some have strayed from His divine path, perhaps dealing with Xenos, perhaps with cults, who knows, that is why many are here."
He clears his throat and narrows his eyes, "I'm sure the other "inquisitor" standing next to you can fill you in about possible Xenos or cult activity, and if the one that you are hunting, of which you mistook him from me and is using Xenos weaponry, that should already give you answers, for i use nothing but His holy and righteous weapons."
Calmly, his face having the emotion of a stone, he awaits an answer from Psylo.

psylo walked over to a vase, amazingly left standing and in one piece, he imagined himself throwing it across the room in anger, but he restianed.
"Inquisitor... you mean to tell me the 'protectors' of man kind have become corrupted... tainted in there rightous ways. You mean to tell me that our shadowy saviors could be allied amongst the cult, helping them spread" Psylo paused, he could not comprehend what would make a man go so low.
psylo almost lost faith at this moment, how could it be, that even his Emperors purest could stray that far. fall from their path.
psylo turned white, it wasn't possible he told himself, it just couldn't be, he turned around the inquisitor again.
"Ok 'Omega-one'. i am sorry for this mistaken identity, i feel you are on the same side as us, to take down the cult" psylo paused looking deep into the mans icy cold eyes "Heres my number, if you need any assistance in your work, call. Untie him!"
a few arbites went white at the last statement, 'untie him? a trained killer!' is what probably went through there minds at this instant.
"You heard me, untie the man. I have a feeling he'll show us good faith" psylo ordered before exiting the room down to the lobby
Servant of the God-Emperor and his holy church, Inquisitor Jodl Reply author: ninjin Replied on: 22/12/2003 18:32:48 Message: Beziel loosened his bonds and stood up without a word, his face forever unchanging.
Taking the number Psylo gave to him, he quickly stored it in one of his chest pouches and looked straight into Psylo's eyes.
"I am no psychic, nor do i wish to be, commander, but do not EVER lose faith in thy Holy God-Emperor. And as far as "their" motives go, there is nothing to comprehend. Their philosophies are different. They wish to bring down the "corrupt" planetary government by inciting revolt. That may be the way they think, for i care not, but by treading a certain path, they attract my attention, and that, does not go over well, for i am forever watching."
As he takes his equipment left for him, holstering his bolt pistol, and straightening his armour and equipment, he walks out the Arbites Precinct, "We must forever lay our faith in the God-Emperor, and not EVER doubt his holiness"
He walks out, again, blending in with the populace and surroundings.
Now the "interogation" being over and done with, he had to re-track the "inquisitor" that had escaped. He would have to set up an observation post somewhere quiet, unseen and undetected.
Carefully and slowly, he made his way back to the brick wall where the other Inquisitor has jumped and climbed across and he, arrested. Using a grappling hook he had, and with an effortless swing, it hooked apon the top of the wall, aiding him to climb the brick wall.
Rather than jump down the derelict and empty path that lay before him, Beziel decided to use the high vantage point of the roofs, and swinging the grappling hook yet again, he managed to latch it on to a stairwell, several meters the side, barely out of his reach, even by jumping. He would use that building over there as his vantage point. It looked new, and a frequent place for visitors, very unlikely that they would use a roof for from this direction, it would only over look the city area of the area, not the sights that visitors would be inclined to see, but a sight which a hunter would be interested to search for his prey scuttling across the roofs.
Except this time it would be harder. Club Hex was easy enough to survery as it was a single location, this time he would have to scane the whole area for a humanoid movement with a slightly higher temperature than normal. This was certainly not going to be fun at all.
Unpacking his equipment, he bagan to set up his observation post, taking out again his infrared binoculars to observe the sectioned area. Setting them on auto again, he covered them up with a camouflaged cloak, blending them into rooftop. All he had to do know was wait. She walked down the entrance stairway to find a black armored man walking across the roadway toward her. It was one of her Navalis guardsmen with the info she asked for. Upon reaching her, the man handed her a slate and waited for orders. "Go back to your post, tell them to bring the platoon planet-side, there is much to be discussed later. Go."
She scanned the slate, seeing it was from Inquisitor Hymunin. It read about one Inquisitor Nade who was under full investigation. Apparently he had 'fled' to this planet and was considered extremely dangerous. She took a grav-car to the Golden Sands beach resort. __________________________________________ Upon reaching the beach, she walked up to a kiosk. Buying a bottle of sanga (fruit wine), she took two glasses and blessed the drink. Looking around she saw a great man in armor staring out into the ocean. She walked up behind the man and removed her strap-shoes.
"Ro Hymunin," she tossed a glass his way, which he deftly turned and caught in a gloved hand,"as I live and breathe!" A smile touched her delicate face as she looked him over. "Hadn't changed a bit." His hard features softened, just slightly upon seeing his comrade in battle. "Ah, Inquisitor Stryde! My but you have!" He looked at her bionic arm in obvious approval. "And so two warriors reunite in so long a time. Why, you were a fresh Acolyte when first we met. I trust the Emperor has been looking over you, young Jenna."
Then a smile crept over his face, such beauty! It was obvious the Emperor had done her well, even upon losing a limb. She walked over to him and poured a glass, then one for herself. They both stared out into the ocean, "The Earth-God's works are wonderous indeed, Ro. But tell me, what is it you require. Perhaps you didn't know this, but I was indoctrined into the Ordo Xenos. I will gladly assist an old comrade, even though I have a mission here already. Perhaps they are related..." She began telling him of a club wrought with Chaos undertones, leaving out the other Inquisitor she was working with. She waited for the young-looking old Inquisitor to speak.
OOC: Feel free to write her with her first name, I assume they have been through alot and are happy to see each other still alive.

She dipped her finger in it and dared to taste it. Sweet and warm...she knelt close to the wound her mouth opening.
Xantcha jerked upright. She couldn't, it would kill him. Her leg was no good for much, but...She grabbed Melphanes daemonhammer and propped Melphane on her back. Using the daemonhammer like a crutch she hobbled out of the ally with the unconcious Inquisitor on her back.
. . . . Xantcha couldn't keep this up. The pain was almost intolerable and the weight of an unconcious man was beginning to really tire her out. She scans the surrounding area. Her eyes grew wide. The woman, she was there on the beach talking to and armored figure. Melphane was interested in her for some reason perhaps she could help.
The death cult assassin drug the Inquisitor for what seemed to be a mile. She dropped melphane only a few yards behind the pair, the sudden thump causing Stryde and the other man to turn around. They eyed her up, unable to make anything of the situation. Xantcha spoke.
"I...huff...am Mistress Xantcha, Agent of the Saratova Death Cult...huff...This is Maraxis Melphane, Inquisitor of Ordo Malleus...huff...we...need..."
She hadn't the energy to say any more. The sands of the beach came closer, and she realized she was falling, before the abyss of unconciousness took her. The two stared at the two unconcious bodies confused and dumbfounded.

A woman strapped in leather, geared for silent death mumbled something about "Ordo Xenos" before falling face first into the cool sand. She had been half-carrying, half-dragging an older man clad in armor covered by new noble finery. Another rosette. This just gets stranger by the minute.
"If she is who they say, then I am bound to at least hear them out, Brother." Inquisitor Hymunin stared indignantly at the fallen Inquisitor. He was ready to take immediate action against the heretical Brother. "Let him rot."
She turned away from them and fingered her lavish cuff. "Stryde to Borno. Send the security force to my location. Pass discretion, keep the rest of the platoon at the detachement location. Medical emergency. Copy?" A few minutes went by before a response. "...Roger...Data transferred, My Lady...sorry about the wait, I was (ahem) indisposed..." Jenna knew the crew of her ship would be on call, but most were probably relaxing. "Stryde Out."
Then she realized, this was the couple that ran into her in the fancy pub!

Reply author: Van Helser Replied on: 27/12/2003 21:13:17 Message: Van Helser paused as he considered his response. Having Stryde in on his plans was one thing, but having Voke in on it too was just too risky. The chances of someone discovering the truth and not liking it was inherently increased. Voke seemed like he wanted to destroy the spoor of the daemonic, but this could lead to complications should the prophecy be completed. However, Voke was much more appreciative of the implements of Chaos than Stryde, so perhaps he would understand the intricacies of the plan. Hoping that he wouldn't come over as a heretic, Van Helser opened his mouth.
'It seems that the activities of the cult are not as secretive as I first imagined,' Van Helser said reservedly. 'I am surprised that so many Inquisitors have come to learn of their daemon worship.'
'We all have our sources,' Voke replied uneasily.
'True. I assume that you know what the cult wishes to achieve, yes?' Voke nodded. 'A summoning,' Van Helser continued, 'a summoning of some fell Slaaneshi entity, wishing to destroy the planet and no doubt the galaxy. They all seem to want to do that, don't they Voor'acht?' he added jokingly, deliberately drawing the daemonhost into the conversation.
'Yesss, Inquissitor,' Voor'acht hissed. Voke seemed intrigued by the entity and ventured towards it slowly. The daemon bound within his blade shuddered with anger as it felt the presence of another. Voke stopped walking.
'You utilise the dark powers more than I first thought, Brother,' Voke said quietly, installing calm on Nul'Ra, 'but your purity remains nonetheless. It would be most interesting to learn more about the daemon the cult are worshipping, you concur?'
Van Helser paused again. Was Voke really interested or was this just a cunning rouse to test him? Reply author: Inquistitor Voke Replied on: 28/12/2003 14:58:43 Message: Voke was intregued by Van Helser's response. But it didn't suprise him. One someone became a radical they become the most causious of people; if they didn't then they'd end up worshipping choas. That's why puritan's could be so annoying; they are the people who are too direct to survive as a radical. Voke was very interested in the daemonhost. He had encountered daemonhosts before and had even used one but this was different. The daemonhost he used was 'won' in a battle of wills against a choas magos and he quickly killed it afterwards; but this was different. Van Helser had summoned it himself. And it was his. And it was powerful. Voke's mind started to think of all the possibilities if he created his own daemonhost. He knew some knownalge but not enough. He would have to speek to Van Helser about that in detail later. Voke could feel Nul'Ra tugging towards the daemonhost, which just snarled, showing it's teeth, at his daemon sword. It looked as if he was trying to scare it! Nul'Ra pulled even more and Voke had to calm it down.
"After we have delt with this threat I would like to speek to you in detail of your daemonhost." Voke's lips curled into a small smile to let Van Helser know that he did not intend to condem him. Van Helser was pure. As pure as any radical Voke had met. "I belive that we need to gather more information about this cult and what it is doing before we destroy it. This would increase our chances of defeating them and would also increase our own knowlage; which is always useful."
"I also think we should deal with the crowd." Voke gestured towards the door. Ela and Eswt were holding the crowd back, but only just. Eswt's power sword was the only thing keeping them back. She moved it in slow controlled circles, not hurting anyone but letting them know that this way out was blocked. "I think this is one time when an Inquisitorial roset comes in use."
Voke stood up on one of the tables.
"I am a member of the Emperor's Holy Inquisition. These are my servants." Voke gestured towards Ela and Eswt. Voke then gestured towards Van Helser and Silo. "These are the warbands of another two! We require you to perform a duty, in the name of the Emperor. We require you to speek NOTHING of what has happened here or what you may have heard! ALL of you have had a good night at this fine pub were you had a few too many drinks so are unable to recall much of what happened. The reason for this is that there was a party and drinks were free. UNDERSTOOD?! You will be doing your duty for the Emperor if you fufil this request. And as we are the Inqusition we WILL KNOW if you do not ask what I, in the Emperor's name, has asked of you! We will hunt you down and purge you, for you would have betrayed the Emperor himself in what you have done!!! You will treated like a heretic and spared nothing!" Voke enforced this by giving the whole crowd a set of mental images that none would forget. "That is what happenes to heretics who stray from the Emperor's light! Do not let that be you!"
"The Emperor protects"
Voke stepped down from the table. Turning to Silo "I belive, that shall keep my presence on this planet unkown!"

Mordantas sat maditating infront of the sword. "we need to speed this process up Davidof" he said. "get some cultists to complete the ritual.
DAvidof quickly selected some cultists from the ranks who were then sacrificed.
The keeper of secrets was drawn towards the source of the deaths. As it reached the warp exit it was pulled outwards in a burst of light. Bellowing in rage it realised it was a trap.
In a flash of light the sword glowed bright pink. Mordantas walked over drawing the sword from the rock everyone knelt before him and he lifted the sword above his head. As he did he could feel the power of the sword.

She entered the now almost empty room and was surprised to see her path blocked by two menacing women, a power sword brandished by one of them glowing menacingly.
'Excuse me,' Dufaux said as she tried to barge her way past them. A stiff arm blocked her way.
'Turn around sweetie,' Ewst said.
'It's alright,' Van Helser cut in, 'this is my acolyte, Helena Dufaux. She was just undercover at Club Hex, hence her rather unsuitable dress.' Helena seemed unimpressed. 'I hope that she has found out some useful information.'
Helena cast a sideways look at Ewst as she walked towards the Inquisitors. 'Am I in safe company?' she asked Van Helser.
'This is Inquisitor Voke, an acquaintance of mine, and those are his assistants,' he replied motioning at the newcomers, 'you may speak freely, they have joined our cause.'
'OK then,' Helena said as she took a seat, 'the club has two bouncers on the door who search for weapons. Inside there are lots of pict-recorders, and more guards. There are guarded entrances that lead somewhere else. I think they lead to where the real cult lies. There is no doubt that the people in the club are contributing via there hedonistic indulgences, but there is more than dancing drugged-up rich kids to fight, unfortunately.'
'I thought as much,' Van Helser said quietly. 'This will be difficult, make no mistake,' he said to Quirrick, Silos and Juxt, 'you may die, and it is more than likely that you will suffer. But we have great power within the group,' he gestured towards Voor'acht, 'and we will see them destroyed! I take it that you will join us Voke, and I am grateful for the assistance. Now we must return to the landing shuttle to equip ourselves fully. Silos, contact Lady Stryde, tell her to meet us there. We are not going in under strength, and besides, it would be cruel to have her miss out on all the fun, yes?' Silos and Quirrick sblack personed.
The collection of warriors, considerably larger than Van Helser had first imagined, exited Dalvernio's and headed towards the space port. Reply author: Inquistitor Voke Replied on: 29/12/2003 15:02:56 Message: As Voke walked with Van Helser he felt something. His heart stopped as his mind detected something in the warp. A creature, a powerful creature; certainly a greater daemon. Voke could feel it's joy at being realased into this universe and then anger at being betrayed.
Then silence.
Voke moved towards Van Helser, whispering Voke informed Van Helser.
"Did you feel it brother? A daemon comming onto this world. I could feel it's screem as it escaped the warp. Joy at release, then anger. I fear that the cult has performed the ritual it wanted. But I could not get any idea of what the ritaul is, only that it's been completed. We may have run out of time."

"You shouldn't be walking around you know." "There is much evil here, I can't afford to rest." "Suit yourself, but her..." "Xantcha." "...er, Xantcha won't be going anywhere. We had to amputate the leg. However she will be fine, and we'll put her back on your ship. Meanwhile someone is here to see you." The medic points to a woman in cerametal power armor walking towards them. She was beautiful, her features nearly perfect exccept for the scar accross the bridge of her nose given to her by a Dark Eldar Succubus. Her hips swayed as she walked and for a moment Melphane thought he'd died and this was the angel sent to bring him home. "Melphane!" She ran over and gave him a hug. It was Sister Superior, Shi'Andra of the Sisters of the White Rose, an order of sisters Melphane himself had reated to serve him. "I am so glad your alive...what's the matter?" "It's here." "What already!" Melphane closed his eyes and began to breathe steadily. His clairvoyance movng beyond their location. He followed the presence that he felt, down the streets. He passed through club hex into the underworks below, where Melphane saw it's disgusting form. He quickly shut off his clairvoyance and stood up. "Club Hex." "I'm coming with you." "Too risky." "No. I am coming with you." "Ok, but remember it's a greater daemon of slaanesh we're after not just some mundane threat." She nodded her head. "Inquisitor. Why don't we just release you know who?" "Ha. The other Inquisitors would kill me for sure if I did that." Melphane started out. He had to warn the others. Stryde. She could tell the others, but would she believe him? She saved his life. He owed her that much. He was so deep in his thought he ran directly into the person he was looking for. "Stryde. I owe you my life. Not many would do such a noble thing considering the circumstances. Name anything and I will do it for you, I owe you everything. Oh and here's something extra, perhaps you should look deeper into Club Hex, it seems a Greater Daemon has brought itself into this world." Melphane stood his ground waiting for her to reply. The group was large: Voke with his two guard, Van Helser with his three, and Stryde's Silos and Juxt completed the team. Upon arriving to the port, another shuttle had landed with a good amount of Imperial Guardsmen making camp. Inquisitor Stryde's platoon had been detached from her space craft. A sergeant approached the cars, nodding to the Major and then immediately snapping to attention on the sight of Inquistor Van Helser. "Are these men always so...lax?" Inquisitor Voke issued. "I assure you, Inquisitor, they are seasoned in all manner of conflict. They may seem relaxed, but only because they are ready," the Major replied evenly, "Juxt, get the armaments ready." Juxt and Silos moved to a tent and changed into their wargear. The others perused the weapons cargo and selected what they wanted. One weapon stood out in particular. A combi bolter-melta stood on a stand behind the crate. A set of two suspensors were carefully welded to either side of the blaster. Quirrick moved to pick it up, when a guardsman moved to intercept, "Sorry buddy, this is the Lady's," was all he said as he blocked the way. The ex-bounty hunter put his hands up sarcastically, "Suit yourself, 'buddy'," and went back to looking in the crate. Standard Imperial munitions limned the large box, including a single missle launcher. What was she thinking? We goin' to war? Quirrick chuckled to himself. Moments later, Silos emerged from the tent in his standard flak jacket and las-rifle. "Get your butts into gear fellas, Brother Van Helser here will fill in the details." Juxt walked out of the tent next, his battle regalia much different than the practical guardmen. A light blue shirt was strapped criss-crossed over his chest with leather to hold his frost blade snuggly to his back. His pants were light and loose to allow him to move quickly and freely. He stood watching for his Master, Inquisitor Stryde, like a great human statue. =][= Jenna Stryde Ordo Xenos

Now Inquisitor Melphane, an acquaintance of Stryde's, had joined the crusade. He was Ordo Malleus, and seemed to be a puritan, perhaps borderline radical, but he was very suspicious of Voor'acht, and that meant he was also suspicious of Van Helser. That was not very reassuring to say the least. He had links to the Battle Sisters, and had a squad awaiting his command. If they found out just what Van Helser was planning, he'd soon find himself with a bolter round through the head. But the Sisters wouldn't find out, he hoped. Van Helser clapped his hands and drew everyone's attention. 'Noble warriors, I thank you for aiding me,' he began loudly, 'but you must understand that I am in total control of this operation, and if you do not like that, please leave now.' Nervous glances flitted between the newly arrived Battle Sisters and Melphane, but no one spoke in disagreement. 'Good. I warn you that this will test your sanity beyond its normal limits, those of you without prior experience of the daemonic must trust your leaders, and do everything they tell you, no matter how crazy the order is. Insane times require the actions of madmen to sort them.' There were nods of affirmament from Quirrick, Dufaux and some of Stryde's troops. Voor'acht let slip a devious smile. 'As for the battle plan... We will try to keep this low key, their security is good, and storming the place will not do. They will amass huge, organised resistance if we try this. So, myself, Dufaux, Quirrick, Voor'acht, Stryde, Silos and Juxt will approach the main doors. We should get past the doormen quickly, Quirrick has already planned how he will do that, quite ingenious, actually.' Quirrick winked at the assembled stern faced guardsmen. 'Once inside, we will try to get as many people out as peacefully as we can. Then we will begin the assault on the catacombs below. This is where the guardsmen come in. Voke, I want you and your companions to lead the guardsmen in, after I give you the go ahead. Melphane, you and the Sisters are the reserve. If anything turns up that we cannot deal with, and I expect it will, you join battle. Does anyone have an opinion on the matter?' Inquisitor Van Helser walked toward her as Juxt began to rise from his feet. "Jenna, who are these new Brothers?" he whispered tentatively. 'If I may have your attention again ladies and gentlemen,' he yelled over the din of weapon preparation, 'thankyou. There is another threat to the Imperium here, a recongregator that crossed paths with Inquisitor Hymunin recently. Brother Ro, Sister Stryde and Juxt will hunt him, probably with Arbitrator assistance, so there is no need for you guardsmen to follow them. After all it is just one man! My warband will gain entry to the club alone, but Major Silos will be leading the naval security force along with the guardsmen under Voke's command. A transport car raced up the street. Ro stepped into its path and held his power fist up. The car halted with a screech and the driver cowered behind his controls when he looked at the Inquisitor. He reached the window of the car and spoke, "Serve your Emperor. This vehicle will now do the will of the Earth-God." He opened the door and pulled the cringing vacationer out onto the street. Ela took a collection of frag, krak and smoke grenades. She also took two melta-bombs. Just incase. Also she liked the effects they had on people when you shoved them down their mouths. Voke would have to talk to her about that!
Voke walked upto Van Helser and whispered, "This is more like an army. That may help to clear the club but when it comes to fighting the daemon we want as few people as possible. If Stryde is off hunting someone else after clearing club Hex the gaurds men should leave. When it comes down to the final fight it should just be you, me and our retinues. But I will lead the guardmen and follow you orders. Also I sudjest that you keep your daemonhost as hidden as possible. Not everyone has the same mind set as us and if they saw your daemonhost doing what it does there could be a few shouts of 'heretic'. You probably know all this and I am not trying to insult your intelligence I just thought you should here my opinion."

'Hence why Brother Hymunin has been escorted off the premises by Inquisitor Stryde...' He chortled at his little joke. Whether or not Voke fund it funny too was known only by the venerable Inquisitor.
'I only have to worry about this Melphane and his retinue of Battle Sisters now, I am keeping them out the battle as long as possible, as I don't know that I can trust them. They are not the kind of people who appreciate the tools of Chaos, not even our form of weaponry. No matter though, once we use them to rout this cult they won't be quickly shouting out "heretic"'
'I hope so,' Voke replied, 'if they were to find out that there was a Slaaneshi daemon within this blade, they would at the very least prevent me from undertaking this mission.'
'They won't find out. Not from me anyway,' Van Helser added with a smile. He took a quick look at the guardsmen who were finishing their preparations. 'Your remark about the guardsmen is interesting.'
'In what way?'
'You expect there to be that many left by the time the club is cleared that we have to get them out quickly? No, clearing the club will not be easy, I guarantee it. Most of these men will die. The Emperor's work needs much sacrifice.'
'Aye, much sacrifice.'
Van Helser signalled for everyone to move out. He boarded his grav car with Quirrick, Voor'acht and Dufaux. Behind him, three shuttle craft warmed up their engines awaiting the call to drop off their cargo of warriors on the redbrick pavement outside Club Hex. The time for battle was about to begin. Reply author: Van Helser Replied on: 03/01/2004 02:06:00 Message: The grav car came to a halt on the street outside Club Hex. The driver and his passengers slowly climbed out. The driver handed the keys to the over-eager valet who barely noticed the weaponry hung rakishly over shoulders or the blue fleshed figure who was hovering a foot above the ground such was his drug induced hallucinatory state.
Quirrick lead the way to the entrance. He tried to march between the bouncers, but a large, burly arm shot out from either side, blocking his way.
'No guns allowed inside sir,' the first man said.
'We'll look after them for you here though,' the other began, 'three credits per item.'
'No problem,' Quirrick replied cooly. He slowly removed his pistols from his holsters, his fingers inside the trigger guards, the guns dangling vertically. He slowly extended his arms, offering the guns to the bouncers. With a quick flick of his wrists, Quirrick's pistols were in his hands properly and the doormens' brains were leaving the back of their respective skulls.
'Those guys weren't up to much,' Quirrick chortled as he holstered his laspistol and stubber.
'Very funny, dog breath,' Dufaux said with spite.
'Ah, there's the girl that I love,' Quirrick retorted sarcastically, 'been missing you.'
'That's enough you two,' Van Helser said as he stepped between them, 'save it for inside.' They both stopped, Quirrick muttering insults under his breath. 'Helena, this is your chance to shine, I want you in the thick of it, your chainsword is a mighty weapon. Don't worry, I'll be watching your back.' Dufaux nodded in response. 'Let's go.'
Van Helser opened the door and walked into Club Hex. As always, music shrieked in the air and young nobles danced. He signalled Quirrick to shoot out the vox caster array. For the first time since it opened, Club Hex fell silent.
'I am Inquisitor Mikael Van Helser,' he roared, 'desist this heresy now and we will see that you come to no harm.' The answer was swift and rather less peaceful than Van Helser had hoped for. More than half the congregation on the dance floor went for concealed guns. Without hesitation the warband all dived for cover as the wall and doorframe behind them was riddled with laser and bullet holes.
'Those bouncers really weren't up to much!' Quirrick shouted over the din.
Van Helser grabbed the commlink from his pocket. 'Voke, Silos get in here now!' Within seconds two shuttles left the space port and were on their way to Club Hex. Van Helser stood up and began blasting with his digi needler. Quirrick followed his example and opened up with his pistols as the mob closed in.
'Dufaux, get up and fight!' Van Helser instructed, 'Voor'acht, a little help!' His acolyte powered up her chainsword and leapt into combat with the nearest group of people, not knowing or caring whether they were disciples of Slaanesh, or indeed armed. The daemonhost just chuckled maniacally. It alone knew exactly what would come of this little escapade.

Reply author: Inquistitor Voke Replied on: 03/01/2004 10:54:40 Message: They were away. Voke in one shuttle and Silo in the other. Voke had made a point to learn all the names of all the guardsmen, including nick names. This group of guardsmens had been toghether for quite along time it would seem; and for Voke to become their temporary leader it helped if he moulded to them instead of the otherway round. Voke just hoped that they were not as lax when it came to fighting as when he first saw them. It appeared not. Everyman was checking weapons. Ela and Eswt were on either side to him. They had tried to learn all the guardsmen names but hadn't done so well. This ment Voke was likely to be leading all of them instead of sharing the command abit.
"HOW LONG UNTIL WE REACH THE CLUB?" Voke had to compeated with the loud engines. Voke used his psycic powers to make his voice louder without straining his voice.
"HEY MATE I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU DO IT IT BUT PLEASE NOT SO LOUD!" The pilot shouted back.
"SORRY. HOW LONG?"
"IT'S GONNA BE QUITE A FEW MINUTES. I'M AFFRAID IQUISITOR VAN HELSER IS GONNA HAVE TO DO WITHOUT US FOR THE TIME BEING."
Voke sat back down. Damn! Van Helser and his retinue could be wipped out by the time they get there, if the club unleashed everything in one go. Van Helser had taken a risk not having these ships in the air ready but he didn't want to give the club any idea they were comming. And then Voke remebered Van Helsers intresting daemonhost. Van Helser would not be dead and that may be why he wanted us so far away. So the grunts don't see Voor'acht in action.
No one is truley sane; we are all just different levels of insanity Reply author: Van Helser Replied on: 04/01/2004 01:15:10 Message: Dufaux was covered in blood. She was cutting a swathe through the beleagured nobles with no sign of compassion. A club worker levelled his autogun at her. He didn't get his shot off. He was cut down from behind by Van Helser, Crian'laar in his hands. The daemon blade roared in triumph as it bit into its victim, sucking out his life force. Van Helser smiled at the carnage his acolyte was causing, the prophecy was nearing forfillment.
The sentiment was mirrored by Voor'acht, the daemonhost still just hovering and chuckling as the events unfolded themselves around it. It was so enthralled at Dufaux's progress. Its centuries long plan was nearing completion. It had been a long time to wait. But oh so worth it.
A laser blast seared the pallid blue flesh of the daemonhost's arm. It stopped laughing and turned its jet black gaze in the direction of the shooter. The man's neck was crushed by an invisible force and he dropped to the ground, dead. The chains around the daemonhost's body whipped themselves up into a storm of metal, the next volley of shots pinging harmlessly off the links. Voor'acht drifted over towards where Quirrick had taken cover, behind one of the bars.
'Problemss, Alexei?' it asked nonchalantly.
'Oh nothing much,' Quirrick yelled back, 'just a few million drugged up ravers, all armed to teeth, shooting at me!' He ducked back down behind the bar as another fusilade came his way. The stubber rounds blew apart some of the bottles on the wall, showering him with broken glass and neat alcohol. 'Man, that stings!' he yelped.
'Allow me,' the daemonhost offered. It turned to face the clubbers. 'Die,' it said coldly before a barrage of blue lightning bolts left its outstretched fingers. The men and women writhed uncontrollably as the electricity earthed itself through their bodies. Many burst into flames. Others just dropped dead as their hearts stopped beating.
Voor'acht drifted off to find Van Helser. To Quirrick's amazement and disgust, it was humming to itself. Reply author: Inquistitor Voke Replied on: 04/01/2004 10:11:44 Message: Voke's shuttle finally touched down outside the club. Voke had felt Voor'acht using the warp. It was now safe for the guardsmen to give a hand. Silo was incharge of the naval sucerity which left Voke with the guardsmen. He had arranged them into 4 sqauds and the remaining 5 guardsmen were to join Voke's retinue. He wanted at least some left alive at the end of it and to increase the chances of that he had some near him. The elite squad was lead by sergent Navalis. He was basically Voke's second in command. He had the largest experience. He was armed with a hell pistol in one hand and a power weapon in the other. The elite squad was made up of Navalis, 7 troopers with hellguns, one armed with a flammer and one armed with a meltagun. They were all armed with grenades, knieves and most had antique black powder pistols. This squad was a shock squad. Always at the front. The other 3 squads were lead by sergents Aral, Rathin and Lichf. All three were armed with a bolt pistol and a sword. Each one of their squads had eight guardsmen armed with lasguns and one with a flammer. Navalis' squad took point with the naval troopers under Silo's command. Aral's squad was to thier left, Rathin on thier right and Lichf behind. When Voke gave the word. Navalis would burst in. Aral and Rathin would then follow and deploy to his left and right respectivly. Lichf would then follow and deploy depending on where ,if any, cultist were. Voke and his retinue would then follow. Voke had Ela and Eswt with him as always but were joined by five guardsmen, all armed with lasguns. Troopers 'steady' Devlous, Ikshleft, Vatch, 'Big Target' Klishovash (covered in more scars then Voke had himself) and Grulk.
Voke sent a psycic message to Van Helser. "Were in position, waiting for the word."
No one is truley sane; we are all just different levels of insanity Reply author: Narsonis Replied on: 04/01/2004 10:36:10 Message: Blending into the shadows across from the club stood Narsonis the Asassin. He would dodge the occasional wayward bullet as he watched in amazement. No one had seen him since he slipped up on Odephius. He had heard rumors about Van Helser and wanted to see for himself who he really was. Narsonis was impressed.
"Better than I expected", he though to himself.
Narsonis wondered if they would accept him even though he had his violent outburst issues and the fact that he was an outcast and a murderer. Deep down inside though, he felt that he could be a good person. He wanted to be a good person. He needed to be a good person.
"Ah, what the hell. If I get into trouble, I can always get away. I mean, that is my job."
He smiled to himself and decided to risk it...after the battle had cooled down and everyone wasn't so tense. Reply author: Van Helser Replied on: 04/01/2004 23:35:14 Message: As Van Helser beheaded another clubber, he felt the telepathic message from Voke. He brushed aside the next desultory blow, from a bulging eyed, drugged up clubber's bare arm no less, with Crian'laar and stepped behind a pillar. 'Voke, it's about damn time!' he broadcast back, 'we're heavily outnumbered, and even the innocents have turned on us. They're all high! Get Silos in here too.'
'Be with you right away!' Voke transmitted back. Van Helser hoped he would, the situation was getting desperate. The club workers were handing weaponry over to the nobles, who were desperate to get a new rush. Random, badly aimed gunfire was gutting the place as well as unfortunates who got in the way. He had lost sight of Quirrick a few long minutes ago, and feared the worse.
He felt a presence behind him and instinctively whirled to face the danger. Voor'acht faced him, grinning maniacally.
'Throne! I almost ran you through!' Van Helser shouted at the entity.
'Masster sshouldn't sscare sso eassily,' Voor'acht sickly giggled.
'Can you not see that we are in trouble?'
'Oh yess, I jusst assissted Alexei, and now I will assisst you.'
'Well, get on with it!' Van Helser said in disbelief. 'Clear me a path to Dufaux's side!'
'With pleassure,' Voor'acht hissed, it's chains whipping themselves up into a fury around it again as it headed for the nearest clubbers, some armed, most not. The flailing links smashed the skulls of many, and choked the life out of others. A few were flung through the air into the walls, their bones cracking on impact.
Van Helser followed his creation through the chaos of mashing bodies, guarding its back from attack. Whether it actually needed the protection was extremely debatable. Leaping electrical bolts cut down another dozen as the advance towards Dufaux's bloody conclave in the centre of the dancefloor.

Reply author: BrotherXanthron Replied on: 05/01/2004 05:23:20 Message: Melphane stood on the Enforcer, it's engine rattling beneath him. He stood in complete silence, using his clairvoyance to survey the scene. Disgusted by the Daemonhost he snarled.
"This is a waste of my time! I have to sit here and wait while a fool of a radical takes the glory. Ha! I will not wait for him."
The Sister Superior placed a calming hand on his shoulder.
"Orders were to stay here. And Van Helser is in charge."
"No! He is not as in charge as he thinks he is. It is a deamon we are hunting and I am Ordo Malleus. It is my duty to destroy it not his."
With that Melphane stomped towards Club Hex. Shi'Andra turned to the rest of the Sisters.
"Stay here. On Van Helsers command, attack. I'm going to keep Melphane out of trouble."
"Understood, Superior"
The door to Club Hex shadowed with Melphanes outline, occasionally lit up by the bolt pistol, flashing in his hand. He dove right to avoid some shells, immediatly followed by the Sister, her Plasma Pistol vaporising gaping holes in the bodies of the cultist firing at them.
Melphane saw through the pillar, the daemonhost, tearing it's way through the mob, virtually untouched. He felt anger rising up, he could almost feel the hammer in his hands lunge foreward. Melphane grinned, perhaps at the right time...

Nothing. Melphane cursed, where is it? I can feel it's presence. So close. The Daemonhost? No, it wasn't the host it was something different. Perhaps...
"Melphane to Supressor Team. Do you have the package ready?"
"Yes Melphane. He's ready to go."
It was time to act. He dashed out from behind the pillar, his hammer crushing a clubber who got in his way. He sidestepped a swipe from another and brushed past. Shi'Andra's power mace tearing the jaw off the man as she followed Melphane closely.
Helsers acolyte caught Melphanes attention. There was something about her, but he just couldn't put a finger on it. It something about the way she unmercifully tore her way through the drugged up mob that spoke to him. He swore she was a Khornate warrior or something along that...that's it. Van Helser was planning something, but what?
A bullet skipping of his armor brought him back to reality. He charged the offender roundhousing the poor woman with his daemonhammer, then proceding to the next target. Damn, there was a lot more than he expected. He closed in in the Inqiusitor and his Daemonhosts location.
"Helser! What the hell are you waiting for? I have a full squad of Sisters waiting outside! They would purge this squad a lot faster than this."
Van Helser spun, the look on his face betrayed his slight contempt for Melphane. Melphane, scowled, he hadn't done anything yet, what was the big deal?
"Well, Helser? Give the word!"

It sounded like Van Helser needed help and Voke was here to give it.
"Navalis, Silo! Get ready. Aral and Rathin, you will follow, wait until I tell you. Lichf you will go in with me and my retinue and deploy along side Navalis. Navalis when Lichf gets to you leave them to hold the middle and start covering Van Helser. Don't worry about getting to him just make sure you cover his back! The Emperor protects! Navalis, Silo GO!" ______________________________________________________________________
Navalis and his squad burts in. Cultist were every where, mostly unarmed. Navalis quickly flipped over a couple of tables to create the beggining of a perimiter. Navalis got down and called his men with him. "Right lads this is it. Lets show them what me do! Make every shot count." Both troopers Klist and Devonus had put away their flammer and meltagun respeticly and were using hell pistols until ordered otherwise.
Navilis tracked a cultist running from what probably used to be the bar. His hell pistol cracked and the cultists head exploded. This was murder none of the cultist were armed and they couldn't get near the troopers because of their firepower. Just as that thought crossed his mind a cultist who had been crawling along the floor, wounded raised himself up infront of the tables and before anyone could adjust their fire he unleashed with his shotgun. Navilis saw three of his men drop before any of the others. He couldn't see who they were. Navailis was relieved to see all three sit back up again. One had beem grazed across the side of his face. Another had caught a pellet in his wrist and was currently having it removed. The thrid had been hit quiet bad. He'd been hit by two pellets in the shoulder. The squad medic had removed them but there was alot of blood comming out the wound. Navalis looked at the medic. The medic grinned. He'd be allright.
"Klist,Devonus get out your proper weapons. Just be careful not to point at Van Helser. Everyone wait while I get that nutter with the shotgun." The cultist was still firing and then reloading and firing again. His shots wern't penertrating the tables. Navalis waited until he could hear the lack of shots and quckly rose above the table. Hell pistol in hand he quickly aimed at the cultist and fired. They had problems though. Ducking had ment that alot of cultists had been able to get very close to them. "Klist you better have that flammer ready." "Yes Sir" "Good! Everyone get down. Klist lots of cultists and now you don't have to worry about burning us. Give them a taste of hell!"
Navalis could hear the roar of the flammer. Could hear it's flames bursting into life on the cultists. He could even hear the crackle of burning skin but couldn't hear any cries of pain. That was the worst thing about choas.
"Klist were comming up. Squad lets form that permimeter Voke wanted! ______________________________________________________________________
"Inquisitor Voke. We have created a perimeter about 5 metres from the club door. We have also created some form of defence." "Good work sergent." "Just doing my job sir."
"Aral,Rathin there's a perimetre about 5 metres from the door, and defences, get in there and give Navalis a hand! Lichf give it 15 seconds then relieve Navalis and his squad."
Navalis had done a good job. It had taken less then a minute to create the perimeter and Voke was expecting to wait for two! Voke waited 15 seconds after the last of Lichf's squad had gone in. Followed by his retinue Voke strode through the door. Bolt pistol in hand, cloak billowing around him. He would find Van Helser and protect him.

Van Helser roared at the ordo malleus man, 'I gave you strict instructions not to enter until my signal! This is not your fight.'
'Not my fight? Not my fight! What in the Emperor's name do you mean! This battle is not purely for your glory!' Melphane roared back.
'This is not your part of the battle yet,' Van Helser responded gruffly, 'what good will it do us if you die before we discover the spoor of the daemonic? You fool, you are risking all our lives with your impetulence! Now get out and wait for the signal! The guard are here now, I'll get Voke to create an exit for you.' Van Helser turned away and resumed battering through the clubbers who were trying to attack Voor'acht's back. He knew it was too great a risk having a puritan like Melphane alongside him, and hoped that he would leave the club quickly. He had a very strong feeling that he wouldn't though, but sent the message to Voke anyway.
Dufaux ducked a clumsy swing of a bar stool and thrust with her chainsword, tearing through the thorax of the ill-aiming attacker. She followed up into a hysterically screaming woman beside him, yet another unfortunate in the wrong place at the wrong time, and sliced through her mid section in a wash of crimson. She continued the swing upwards and removed the top quarter of leering man. Blood sprayed across her face and she suddenly felt not herself. She would have faltered but another force was driving her blows now, each more powerful than the last. Certainly she was intriqued as to the origin of the new found fury, but she did not stop to ponder, instead she embraced the force and added her own prowess to it.
Voor'acht smiled.

Reply author: BrotherXanthron Replied on: 06/01/2004 07:56:45 Message: Now he felt it. The same force he felt in Sister Kelesia and Peregrine Tythus. They were tools of the Blood God, and She had been executed for it, as for Tythus, he was in a large steel prison outside the Club. The Khorne Berserker was Melphanes trump card in this dangerous game. But now he wasn't so sure he was the only one with an ace up the sleeve. There was bloodthirsty presence nearby and Melphane needed to know where it was.
Melphane lifted the charging clubber over his head and tossed him behind him, Sister Shi'Andra putting a few plasma round into the man before he hit the ground. A man flew through the air at him. He batted him away, stopping to look at the man, or what was left of him. The source was Van Helsers acolyte. Her chainsword, cleft man and woman, in an unbaised fury.
That's it. It's her. He leveled his pistol at the woman, aiming for the head. She was impure and she needed to be put down, to hell with Van Helser. He squeezed...nothing.
His gun flew from his grasp towards a smiling daemonhost, waving a finger his way and tsking. Voor'acht casually grasped the floating weapon and melted the blessed weapon into a molten slag puddle at it's feet.
"Why you son of a...!"
Melphane pounded accross the club towards the daemonhost, his hammer glowing and leaving an irridiscent trail of light smoke behind it. He swung with all he had, and hit nothing, but air. The daemonhost leered at him from accross the room.
"Not today Melphane. Yours and my battle will come...but not today."
Melphane growled and began to take his anger out on the clubbers who's number were starting to wittle down. But he didn't take his clairvoyance off the Acolyte Dufaux. Her style of fighting and the rage displayed on her face was a clear sign to Melphane.
He had studied Khorne for 18 years. When it came to the followers of Khorne, Melphane was one of the most knowledgeable on the subject. Many others have nicknamed him the "Khorne Kisser". He has witnessed the transformation of the human soul into a chaos incarnation of Khorne, and was seeing it now. He would stake his reputation on it.

And you didn't have to be a psycer to see that! Voke left Navalis in command of the fire base and perimetre. A 10 metre area around the door controlled by the guardsmen who were keeping the cultists away with massed las fire.
Voke and his retinue headed towards Van Helser. Voke had Nul'Ra out and the slaneesh daemon was in full flow and pulling as much power from the warp and it's true self from the warp as Voke's bidings allowed it. Voke went ahead with Eswt while Ela and the guards took a slower rout with Ela's bolt pistols letting out thunderous claps which signalled the mutilation of a cultist. The las fire errupted in controlled bursts which would have driven even orks back but the cultists came on; as they always do.
Van Helser and his retinue were on their own quite along way from the door and we threated with being completely swapped by cultists. Eswts power sword left cultists in half as she swept towards Van Helser. Her blade making long curving acrs, all the movements were linked and perfectly smooth. He power sword cut through everything and left a trail of dead cultists. Her movements were beatiful. Her body twisting and turning, spinning, leaping; always moving, always smooth. And she moved quick. Reflections only possible through thousands of years of evolution of increasing speed. She moved so quick that she was just a blur. Her power sword was just a after burn on your retina. Voke knew she would get to Van Helser quickly.
Voke let Nul'Ra move his body. The daemon sword writhed with pure hatred for the choas surrounding it. But Voke always kept it from the strongest source in the room. The daemonhost. The daemon sword desperate to banish such a strong source of choas. Nul'Ra turned Voke into death itself. In a different way to Eswt. Where Eswt was smooth and truly graceful Nul'Ra caused to Voke to be jerky and to strike out. Voke strode through the cultist alot less alaborate then Eswt. Nul'Ra lashed out. A effortless sudden strike cutting a windpipe; a sudden change and a delicate slice, opening a person from groin to head. the cultists body fell out of his skin, the rib cage fell apart and his body simply fell apart. Nul'Ra striked out, one killing blow every time; it attacked like a stalker more than a killer. Waiting then suddenly lashing out.
Voke made it to Van Helser. "We should fall back to the guardsmen. They have a strong perimetre set up! You could be swamped by cultists and killed." As if to prove his point another wave of cultists surged towards Voke and Van Helser. Some of the cultists were armed with auto-guns. A cultists unleashed a whole clip on full auto at Voke. Nul'Ra deflected everyone, causing each to kill at least one cultist before quickly changing angle and striking the last bullet back at the cultist; the bullet smashed through his eye socket and cleared the contents of his cranium onto the surrounding cultists who just kept going. "We must fall back, or we both risk being killed when that risk can be avoided. At least with 40 odd guardsmen pointing las guns at him Melphane is unlikely to do something stupid. He might but it's less likely, then again with puritans you never know!" Voke grinned. "Lets go, now!"
No one is truley sane; we are all just different levels of insanity Reply author: Van Helser Replied on: 07/01/2004 00:49:49 Message: 'I have a better idea!' Van Helser said triumphantly. He pointed at an ominously large door. 'That is they way down to the unholy temple. Let's take the fight to the scum!'
'We would surely be better to consolidate our position here first,' Voke responded, 'the numbers up here are still too great.'
'These are not the enemy we came to fight, these are nobles with unfortunate addictions! Besides, if we can sneak off, it might just get Melphane off our backs.' Van Helser hoped he sounded convincing, but Voke could see through him like a window.
'He's not that stupid. He'll notice.'
Van Helser changed tack. 'Silos and the navy security force can mop this lot up if we fully commit them. We don't want to be here when they begin firing with their shotcannons. Get the guard to follow us in. Come on, where's your sense of adventure?'
Just why was Van Helser getting so excited? Voke wondered. Something was different about his whole demeanour. Was this just the thrill of the battle or something else?
'Stay here if you want, but I am going in,' Van Helser left Voke to choose his own path as he set off to drag Dufaux away from the bloody melee. Voor'acht instinctively knew what was now about to happen and drifted after the Inquisitor. Out of the corner of his eye, Voke saw Quirrick leap on to a bar and run down it's length towards his employer, firing his pistols into the mass of bodies.
Just what had he got himself into? Voke asked himself as he pondered his next move. Reply author: Stryde Replied on: 07/01/2004 07:23:27 Message: OOC: Look! It's Navalis... the Navalis Security Sergeant bwaa haa haa haaaa!
Silos ducked a shot and rolled around the overturned table. Sight in, snap! Sight in, snap! He ducked back after taking two men down in the head. Voke's voice yelled into his vox-link. "Silo! Give me cover fire in 5 seconds!" 4, 3, 2.
In a great shout, the Major ordered, "Fire At WILL!" He jumped up and yelled as he let loose 3-shot bursts from his las rifle. The Inquisitors had cleared a bloody swath fully to the other side of the club and were now desending a row of stairs. The din grew from loud to insane! Guardsmen and Navalis blasted away at patrons and workers alike.
Some of the enemy were shot down, but most ducked for cover and halted their fighting against the Inquisitors. Some of their retinue still fought on in the chaos, including Inquisitor Melphane and the Sister of Battle.
Voke's aged voice yelled again into the link. "Sweep and Clear! Sweep and Clear! Await further orders!"

Fear is only a word! Reply author: Inquistitor Voke Replied on: 07/01/2004 17:29:33 Message: Voke was not going to get himself left out of anything. Van Helser was excited about something and Voke wanted to know what. Also Voke wanted to see more of Voor'acht is action.
"Eswt you start to clear a path to that door and catch up with Van Helser, make sure he waits and that he doesn't get hurt. He knows something I don't and I don't want that information to die with him. We'll be following."
"Ela!"
"What! Kinda buissy here so be quick" Ela dived to the floor and fired at the groupd of cultists comming her way. There was only a flicker as she reloaded but that was time for a shotgun armed cultist to take aim. There was a sharp snap and the cultist looked more surprised then Voke. His hands had been blown off. His stumps had casterised- the distinctive mark of a las gun. Before the cultist could do anything else Ela shot him through the head with a standard bolt, which then procced to pass through his skull before exploding pushing what was left of his head onto Ela. Ela turned round to see trooper 'Steady' Devlous standing over her, las gun in hand.
"Ela get Devlous, Ikshleft, Vatch, Klishovash and Grulk to go to Navalis. They need to tell him that I want him and the guardsmen through that door in two minutes!" Voke pointed to were Eswt was holding off cultists. At the rate she was going they would have a hard time getting through the door. She was so deadly it was gonna cause problems. Voke smiled to himself. "Devlous, Ikshleft, Vatch, Klishovash and Grulk are then to act as a bodyguard for Silo who is to hold here and clear out these cultists. And hurry up I want you with me!" _________________________________________________________________
Voke, Ela, Eswt and the guardsmen were inside and had caught up with Van Helser who hadn't proceeded through the tunnel far. Amazingly none of the guards had been killed; those guys sure knew when to get their head down behind that cover. Some were injured but all could go on.
"Van Helser, I intend to see this through, at your side. As you seem to know something I do not, and it would be a bad idea for it to die along with you. plus just taking on waves of cultist is just a good way to waste ammo; they will stop when the source is taken out. But of course you know this already. I suggest that we proceed with Navalis and his squad at point. They are very well trained troops and very impressive as you saw. Also Navalis looks to be a very compotant commander."

His hammer crushed a cultist head against a pillar like a grape, the massive hammer causing the foundation of the whole club to shudder slightly. Melphane roared and charged another cultist. The cultist smirked and bought his shotgun to bear on the charging inquisitor. The smirk quickly vanished as most of the cultists torso did as well. Melphane overran the dying cultist slamming himself into there line once more.
Shi-Andra leveled plasma shot after plasma shot into the cultist, putting gaping holes in their lines, but when one died another took it's place. And there were so many of them.
"Oww!"
She cried out as her plasma pistol began to overheat. She quickly palmed a few more shots then tossed it behind the bar. Grabbing her backup bolt pistol she began to spray the cultists with bolter fire.
Melphane saw Van Helser heading towards the stairs. Melphane had seen what was down there and was not letting him go down there alone, especially not with that thing. Only one problem, about a hundred cultists stood in the way and none of them were too keen on letting him by.
Melphane concentrated hard, his blind eyes taking on a similar glow to that of his hammer. He braced his feet and with a sudden shout he slammed his hammer down. A force of lightning forked it's way through the cultists towards Van Helser. Not hurting them, but knocking them to the side. Taking his chance, Melphane ran to Van Helser side, followed closely by the opportunistic Voke. Shi'Andra never got a chance to run through, as the cultist quickly closed the gap.
"Melphane!"
"Shi'Andra, go back outside and wait with the others."
Shi'Andra ran out side firing as she went.
Now Van Helser, let's see what your really up to? Melphane thought, I am to intrigued to stop him from doing it, because I want to see it for myself what he has planned. Melphane glanced a sour look at Voor'Acht. If only, Melphane thought, that thing wasn't with us.

'With pleasure,' Van Helser replied, wide eyed with excitement before he loped off down the newly exposed stairwell, Dufaux and Quirrick close behind. Voor'acht smiled at Voke.
'Are you coming too?' it asked with an air of expectation.
'Oh, yes,' Voke answered, 'I am not missing this!' He turned towards his bodyguards. 'Hurry up, Brother Van Helser is already downstairs!' he called to them. They both nodded and finished off their violent handiwork. A squad of guardsmen were making their way towards him too. Voke turned back to shout something to Voor'acht, but the daemonhost had gone. Damn, he really wanted to find out what was going on. It seemed no one was going to give him the answer though, he would just have to find out himself.
Van Helser pounded down the stairs with Crian'laar raised, ready to strike out at anything that got in his way. It wasn't long before something presented itself.
A disciple of Slaanesh, clothed in sensuous pink PVC, and wielding a flail, jumped out of an intersecting corridor and swung his weapon at Van Helser. Each link of the three chains had been sharpened to a razor edge and at their heads was a bulb of paralysing toxin, covered in hypodermic spikes. The pain inflicted by this torture weapon sent its victims into rapturous spasms. Its victims were usually fellow devotees of the Pleasure God, who welcomed the pain, but now it was being turned to the defence of Slaanesh.
Crian'laar blocked two of the wicked chains, but one grazed across Van Helsers face. It was the lightest of touches, but the links cut into his cheek and forehead. He was near blinded by the onset of the pain and stumbled backwards. He was fortunate to have avoided the incapacitating effects of the neuro-toxin, but nonetheless felt the agony of the flail's caress.
The disciple swung again, but his weapon was intercepted by Dufaux's screaming chainsword as she leapt to defend her mentor. With hatred she had never felt before she cut off the arm holding the flail with her first stroke and slashed across the man's stomach with her second, spilling his entrails. Upon seeing the look of absolute glee on the man's face she roared her contempt for the follower of the flesh god, and beheaded him as he slumped to his knees. Blood fountained from his neck and Dufaux felt enraptured.
Quirrick rushed to Van Helser's aid and slapped a wad of bandage onto his wound. The look of excitement had passed from his eyes.
'Not careful enough, masster, no,' Voor'acht said almost mockingly at Van Helser. 'Their are many more you know, many more. You sshould wait for your friend Voke.'
'Thanks for your counsel,' Van Helser said through gritted teeth, absolutely fuming at the daemonhost's disrespective attitude.
'It's right though,' Quirrick added with panic, 'I can hear 'em coming down the corridor right now!' He slipped his pump-action shotgun off his back.
'And they will die by my hand!' Dufaux roared before she set off to intercept the cultists.
'Dufaux! Come back damnit!' Quirrick shouted after her to no avail. 'What the hell is wrong with her?! Ah, crap,' he said as he bounded after her.
Voor'acht looked down at Van Helser and offered him a hand. 'Don't want to misss thiss, do you?' the daemonhost cackled as it hauled the Inquisitor to his feet. He would have to see if it was possible to get Navalis and his squad to join his own guard force, so many light years away. Voke wished he had them with him now. "Van Helser is getting ahead." They could all here the sound of a chainsword and a shotgun. Voke started to run down the corridoor and ran through the door Voor'acht had blown in. The sounds of fighting increase. Not far ahead. Voke let Ela and Eswt take the lead, and drooped along side Navalis. "Where are the other guardsmen?" "Well I saw that other inquisitor following, one hell of a light show, so I ordered the boys to head back up and stop the cultists from escaping. I told them to get back to those defences we made. Also 30 guardsmens trying to run past him in a norrowish corridoor like this will give us a minute before he turns up!" Navalis winked at Voke. "Good work." Van Helser will not like the fact Melphane had followed. Voke could now hear the crack of Ela's bolt pistols. The sound ecoed around the corridoor and the bolt pistol crack turned into a thunderous roar. Ela and Eswt had caught up with Van Helser. Thats the problem with the squad, too many men, too small a corridoor, they were going to slow. Nul'Ra nearly started to drag him towards the fight. "Guardsmen" Voke turned his head but kept running. "I won't waste your time with a speech, you know what your doing. But lets scare the hell out of them." As they were just about to catch up with the sounds of battle the guardsmen started to roar and shout. The sound was amplified by the corridoor and it sounded as if an army was comming. Voke used his psycic powers to turn the roar into schreech. An uneathly screech with images of an army of dead lead by unkillable wraiths carried along with it. Voke changed his own voice to a piecing cry which stood above all others. It pieced the hearts of those he faught and filled them with dread. The guardsmen burst round one last corner.

He quickly racked the slide and took out another of the screaming mass of Slaaneshi cultists. He'd never fought the followers of Slaanesh before, and wasn't enjoying it. These guys were absolutely insane. They actually wanted to get shot and cut up. They bizarrely loved the various flesh wounds that they were picking up, and none were falling back. Even with Dufaux in her new psycho mode, there were just too many of the leather and PVC freaks. He blasted another that was almost on top of him, the shot spinning the screaming woman right around, he pumped again, but the next cultist was already infront of him. The shotgun was kicked out of his hands and it skittered off along the ground. The cultist swung an axe at his head that almost connected. Quirrick ducked the blow and the weapon bit into the roughly hewn stone wall of the corridor. He body punched the man as he fought to free his axe, a nice meaty blow right in the guts. The cultist exhaled sharply giving Quirrick time to pull his knife and stab the guy. He looked round for his gun and saw it at the feet of Dufaux. She hadn't noticed it though. Her eyes were glazed over, not really focused on the group she was cutting down. He called to her, but she was out of it. He pulled his laspistol from its holster and shot into the press of bodies.
Voor'acht drifted right into the centre of bodies. His whirlwind of chain links prevented anyone from getting close, at the same time smashing faces and knocking cultists flying. He was smiling again. How he missed his times of domination over worlds and the thrill of battle. Soon though he knew, he would be able to relive some of his past excesses.
Ela and Ewst turned the corner and were almost shocked to see just how many of the properly armed, properly dedicated cultists there were. Could be worse though, there might have been daemons! They opened fire. ____________________________________________________________________________

One of Van Helsers henchmen, Quirrick was in slight need and Melphane ran to his side. The man had dropped his shotgun, so Melphane tossed him his own, before leaping towards the mass of cultist his hammer glowing once more.
"I hope you don't mind me crashing your party, but it look like you need the help." Melphane shouted at Van Helser as he ran by.
He took the cultist right in the face with his first swing, his daemonhammer hissing as it touched the man. Melphane stood shocked for a slight second...these cultist were not entirely what they seemed. Grinning he let loosed all he had.

Inquisitor Gabaraev sat astride his bionically altered steed, looking down the hillside at the massed legions of Chaos. Around him were the combined forces of the remnants of the 16th, 21st and 167th Krieg Death Riders regiments; fully four and a half thousand men on horseback. Beyond the vast lines of the horde he could make out the trench system that the Krieg 183rd Death Korps were holding resolutely. But even the infamous stubborness and fearlessness of the Death Korps would not be enough in the face of the almighty enemy they were facing. Should the 183rd fall, then the planet would be lost. They were the last pocket of defence around the capital, and more importantly the space port; without it there could be no hope of more reinforcement. The Death Riders he commanded were part of the last gamble, the last card to be thrown upon the table. He doubted that they would barely put a dent in the daemon prince Voor'acht's lines, but they had to try. If their diversion worked, then there was a slim possibility that the world could be saved.
'Death Riders! Heed my words!' he called out as he paced his mount along the front of the massed cavalry. 'We do not have the numbers to beat this enemy, you and I both know this, but we shall ride into battle against them nonetheless!' A resolute cheer echoed along the line. 'We all ride to our doom, but we also ride to the ruin of Chaos!' The Death Riders rose their hunting lances into the air in salute. 'Death before dishonour!' The Death Riders echoed the call, before, as one, they spurred their steeds forward. Gabaraev lead from the front, swinging his mighty daemon hammer around his head, as he roared his battle cry.
The massed cavalry charge hit home, taking thousands of the cultists, mutants and traitors with them. But it was a drop in the ocean. Gabaraev crushed the skulls of many before he was dragged down.
Voor'acht noted the disturbance in the side of the ranks and laughed. What a waste of playthings, it sighed. It turned back to face the trench system and waved Ranchak the Bloody and his bezerkers forward. It cursed as he saw thousands of his minions gallop off to try and kill one of the silly horsemen. What an ugly gap they were leaving in its lines.
On his deathbed, in the churned and blood soaked earth, Gabaraev was sure that he saw a bright blue flash. Salvation. The Grey Knights had arrived. ______________________________________________________________________________
Now
Voor'acht watched Dufaux with interest, occasionally having to bat down an attacking cultist, but it kept almost its full attention on Van Helser's acolyte. She was marvellous! Her chainsword slashed back and forth through any that came near her, gutting, eviscerating, amputating and beheading with ease. She was soaked in blood and gore, the floor around her was slick with it. Voor'acht knew that it was not her though really. It was an old acquaintance that was guiding her blows now. Voor'acht looked forward to his reunion with one of his past underlings, who had now achieved the boon of daemonhood. The daemonhost was so happy with the way it had planned all this. It had taken centuries. It was happy that the way things were in this place; it would not be saying goodbye to Dufaux, there was no need for possession here.
Voor'acht called to Van Helser, 'wave Dufaux onward masster, it iss her time after all.'
'I quite agree Voor'acht,' he shouted back, 'Dufaux push on down the corridor. Ela, Ewst aid her!' Voke's warriors followed the order impeccably and flanked Dufaux as she began to advance through the throng of cultists. 'Quirrick, get after them!'
Alexei nodded and went for his shotgun. It was drenched with blood. 'Ah, hell,' he said as he wiped it down. He'd been grateful for the loan of Melphane's, but he'd been out of ammo before he could say 'die masochistic scumbags!'
Voor'acht began cackling yet again. Reply author: Stryde Replied on: 11/01/2004 07:38:18 Message: Silos quick-peaked behind his makeshift barracade. On one flank, his force had abandoned table barracades to engage in hand-to-hand combat. They just wouldn't stop fighting until death! He hastily attached his bayonet and ordered the same, victory would not be so easily won.
Juxt stepped out of the back seat of the trasport. His and Ro's giant sizes making it look like a clown car. He slid his great Frost Blade from it's sheath and pressed a rune on the handle. The two-handed sword left a bright blue light trail as he stretched and worked the weapon in trained discipline. "The Emperor is with us Lord Hymunin," was all he said as he stared harshly at the enraged mob.
Inquisitor Jenna Stryde swung smothly out of the passanger side to a crouch behind the front of the vehicle. Her custom combi-bolter sat on the hood aiming toward the battle at hand. As soon as they were across they took up postition near the naval security but stayed close incase of new orders, " we were under command of Voke and went with him down the tunnel but he ordered us back up to give you a hand and to make sure these cultists don't escape. Also he was terrified of having to tell Stryde that he'd let you die. She REALLY scares him!"
Silo raised his eyebrows.
"O.k so I made the last bit up, BUT you could do with a hand. I relenquish control of my troops to you until further notice from Voke."

Voke and Navalis' squad quickly made a the hall very hard too move through. Voke moved upto Van Helser, with Navalis close behind. "Though you might want a hand. Where are Eswt and Ela?" Van Helser gestured further down. Eswt, Ela, Van Helser's acolyte and Quirrick were a long way further down, but were managing not to be killed.
______________________________________________________________________
Ela had her back to the wall and was frantically trying to keep the cultists away. Quirrick was by her side. They tried to get it so they never were reloading at the same time; if they did they would be swamped. When the hell were they going to get to where they were trying to get to?. Then a thought accoured to Ela. These were just the cultists, there was something bad at the bottom that was exactly what they were trying to get to. Ela quickly started to get another clip of bolts into her pistols and then realised something. Quirrick was next to her and he was reloading his shotgun. Another wave of cultists roared towards them, unchecked by weapons fire and ready to finaly get at those with the guns. Ela looked at Quirrick, "This is not gonna be fun". As the first of the cultists got close it raised a hammer in one hand drew a sword in the other. The cultist took one more step and brought his right arm crashing down and jabbed out with his left.
But his hands were no longer attached to his arms. Before he could grasp why neither Ela or Quirrick was dead his head was parted by a grace slice of Eswt's power sword. Before Ela could thank her she was already away again but said one thing.
"Watch Van Helser's acolyte; she is not watching the death she is causing."
Fair enough, though Ela. I wouldn't want to be on the recieving end of a chainsword coz the girl on the end wasn't paying attention!

The trio came upon the main throng of cultists surrounding Dufaux, Quirrick, Ela and Ewst and Voor'acht stopped moving forward.
'What are you doing?' Voke demanded. 'Can't you see that your allies are in peril? Aid them, attack their foes!'
The daemonhost slowly turned to face Voke, its chains still a tornado circling its body. 'No, it bluntly stated. 'This is Dufaux's time. She must spill the blood of the followers of the flesh god. Not you nor I can take her place in this battle.'
'But Ela and Ewst are my responsibility, they are in trouble!' Voke argued. 'Van Helser, instruct your daemon otherwise!'
'Voor'acht is right, Voke,' Van Helser replied his tone mirroring that of his daemonhost's. 'Perhaps you should not have sent your warriors ahead. If anything, I would pull them out of there. They are killing many that belong to Dufaux.'
Shocked at Van Helser's new attitude he blurted out, 'but Quirrick, your friend, is fighting too!'

Fear is only a word! Reply author: BrotherXanthron Replied on: 13/01/2004 06:46:26 Message: Van Helser and his minions had backed off, leaving Melphane and the Dufaux woman, alone at the front. The Acolyte was causing much damage, however she was swinging at Melphane every once in awhile.
Melphane stepped back and ran to Helsers position.
"What are you stopping for?"
Voor'Acht replied "It is her time to shed blood."
"I didn't ask you. Look, she can't do it alone. She'll be killed. Or maybe that was your intention? Or is there something I need to know?"
Helser didn't reply.
"Look. You may not like me, I can see that. A blind Inquisitor tends to not make many friends. I have nothing against you, except that you keep some of the worst company (points at the daemonhost). But we need to work together to destroy this threat. I need to know what you are up to."
"I cannot."
"Dammit, Van Helser. I should take you in for obstructing the justice.."
"Don't talk to me about justice Melphane. Perjaps it is you that is obstructing here."
Melphane snarled. The daemonhost smirked, and Melphane smote the daemonhost upside the head with the daemonhammer, it's holy sigils glowing and burning a hole in the hosts face. Voor'Acht seemed unfazed as the hole quickly regenerated back.
"Van Helser. I have no other option."
Melphane pulled out a remote.
"While you weren't paying attention, I slipped an explosive into Defauxs' clothing. Now tell me what it is your planning.." Melphane flipped the switch cover up and placed his finger on the button."Or your acolyte quickly become a martyr."
Helser looked slightly dumbfounded.
"Heh. Surprised, Van Helser? I'm not exactly as pure as you think I am. I spent time on Cadia, and I learned a few things. Things one of my position perhaps shouldn't have learned. Don't even try to stop me. The Sister Superior waiting outside has a remote as well. Now tell me everything."
